Bandon River (Bandon) drainage scheme. Consultants are required to undertake a study of the flooding situation in Bandon, Co Cork in order to bring forward proposals for a scheme of flood alleviation measures to reduce the severity of flooding there. The scheme will be designed to protect against flooding with a 1 % exceedance probability. The consultant will be required to carry out a feasibility study with attendant surveys, hydrological and hydraulic modelling and design of various remedial options, resulting in the outline design of a preferred scheme along with the completion of a Cost benefit Analysis Report. Should the Contracting Authority decide to progress the scheme through the remaining stages, the consultant will prepare the necessary documentation to bring the scheme forward to public consultation, undertake the detailed design of the scheme, take the matter throgh the tender stage for contractors, if required, and supervise the works, if required.
