Title attributed to the contract by the contracting authority: Supply of Pilot Scale and Bench Scale Microfiltration & Ultrafiltration Skids/Units. The contrat comprises supply, delivery and commissioning of 3 Pilot Plant scale filtration skids, and for 3 Bench Scale filtration units (the ”Goods”). At a minimum, the Goods shall comprise the following: General. a) Be fabricated from 316L stainless steel b) Filter skids/ units to include all necessary valves. c) Filter Skids/ units to include any necessary safety devices. d) Filter Skids/ unit to include all necessary instrumentation. e) Each Pilot Scale Filter Skid/ unit to include a stand-alone control system, and all associated wiring. f) Interconnecting pipework within each filter skid is included in the scope of supply Pilot Plant Scale Units. 1.One (1) Microfiltration skid, consisting of: i. Designed to concentrate and diafilter 100l of cell broth to a concentration factor of 10. ii. Product inlet pump iii. Microfiltration membranes iv. The filter skid control system shall be designed to facilitate fully automatic operations, including semi-automated Clean-in-Place (CIP). The control system shall communicate process parameters and alarms to an overall control system (by others) 2. One (1) Pre-Capture Concentration Ultrafiltration Skid, consisting of: i. Designed to concentrate and diafilter 120l of process fluid to a concentration factor of 5. ii. Product inlet pump iii. Buffer inlet pump iv. UF vessel v. UF vessel outlet pump vi. Ultrafiltration membranes vii. The filter skid control system shall be designed to facilitate fully automatic operations, including semi-automated Clean-in-Place (CIP). The control system shall communicate process parameters and viii.alarms to an overall control system (by others) 3. One (1) Ultrafiltration skid, consisting of: i. Designed to concentrate and diafilter 25l of process fluid with a concentration factor of 5. ii. Designed to concentrate and diafilter 6l of process fluid with a concentration factor of 3 iii. Product inlet pump iv. Buffer inlet pump v. UF vessel vi. UF vessel outlet pump vii. Ultrafiltration membranes viii. The filter skid control system shall be designed to facilitate fully automatic operations, including semi-automated Clean-in-Place (CIP). The control system shall communicate process parameters and alarms to an overall control system (by others) Bench Scale Units: 1. One (1) no. Lab Scale (5 litre) Microfiltration unit with membranes scalable to item 1 above 2. Two (2) no Lab. Scale (1 no. 6l; 1 no. 0.3 l) Ultrafiltration units with membranes scalable to item 2 and 3 above.
