The Minister for Environment, Climate and Communications invites interested parties to submit responses to this request for tender for services relating to legal advice required to support the Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications (DECC) with the design and implementation of the Small-scale Renewable Electricity Support Scheme (SRESS). The scheme will be structured in a manner that supports efficient and effective design, installation and operation, industry investment and overall value for money for Irish consumers. The Programme for Government committed to the development of a Solar Energy Strategy for rooftop and ground-based photovoltaics to ensure that a greater share of our electricity needs is met through solar power. The Climate Action Plan 2023 (CAP 23) sets out how Ireland can accelerate the actions that are required to respond to the climate crisis, putting climate solutions at the centre of Irelandโs social and economic development. The plan implements the carbon budgets and sectoral emissions ceilings and sets out a roadmap for taking decisive action to halve our emissions by 2030 and reach net zero no later than 2050.
