FAS - Foras Aiseanna Saothair,Training and Employment Authority

Title attributed to the contract by the contracting authority: Exhibition design and build for FAS ‘Opportunities 2009’. FÁS, the Training and Employment Authority was established in January 1988 under the Labour Services Act 1987. Its functions include the operation of training and employment programmes, the provision of an employment/recruitment service and an advisory and support service for business. FÁS has a staff complement of approximately 2 300 people and a network of offices and training centres throughout the country. The annual “Opportunities” exhibition is Ireland’s largest careers, education and skills showcase is organised by the Corporate Affairs Department. The four day event attracts up to 100 000 visitors, and up to 100 exhibits are on display. The event is scheduled for March 2009. The exhibition will take place at Croke Park Conference Centre, Dublin. The full event schedule is as follows: -Build – 2 days. -Exhibition – 4 days. -Dismantle – 1 day. Corporate Affairs who are seeking this service, issues all press statement, press releases and other formal responses. It also organises exhibitions throughout the country. The section works closely with other departments in the organisation in planning and implementing national initiative, launches and awards ceremonies. The Section also advises on corporate branding, signage and allied printing or advertising matters.
