Title attributed to the contract by the contracting authority: Engineering Services for Refurbishment of Oil Storage Facilities at Tarbert. The Irish National Oil Reserves Agency (NORA) has leased four large storage tanks with a total capacity of about 160,000 cubic meters at Tarbert, Co Kerry, Ireland. Up to now the tanks have been used for storage of heavy fuel oil for the adjacent electricity generating station. The tanks shall be cleaned, inspected and converted for the storage of distillates, diesel & gas oil. New import lines shall be installed and a truck loading gantry erected. NORA are seeking to engage consultants to manage the upgrade of the storage facility. The site shall require Planning Permission and it will be a top tier Seveso site, all work necessary for compliance is included in the consultants scope of work.
