It is anticipated that the Department of Communications, Energy and Natural Resources will require petroleum engineering support in relation to the following. — Well testing on exploration, appraisal and development wells, — Implementation of plan of development for the Corrib Gas Field, — Evaluation and monitoring of existing producing fields, — Input to applied engineering research projects, — Ongoing support for exploration and production promotion (i.e. development economics), — Inputs to development of the regulatory framework governing petroleum exploration and production. The service could be provided by either a suitably qualified individual or company.
