Title attributed to the contract by the contracting authority: 16 Classroom GRD Primary Schools Design & Build. The Department of Education and Science and selected School Authorities intend to construct between 1 (one) and 3 (three) 16 Classroom Generic Repeat Design Primary Schools of between 2 200 m2 and 3 000 m2 at selected sites provided by the Department of Education & Science within a 30 mile radius to the north and west of Dublin city centre using a Design & Build Contract. The Generic Repeat Design Schools are standard school designs with a fully designed and detailed superstructure including detailed drawings and documents suitable for issue as tender documents. (Further information is also available on the Department website at www.education.gov.ie). The Design element of this Design & Build project will be limited to site specific works and possible additional accommodation for special education needs up to approximately 10 % of the gross floor area and integrated with the generic scheme.
