Expression of Interest for Marine Development at Bunagee Pier, Co. Donegal. Donegal County Council seek expression of interest from suitably qualified consultants to provide consultancy engineering led services associated with the design of a new harbour development comprising pontoon berthing area with step ashore facilities, sea bed dredging and any associated works at Bunagee Pier located 2 km outside Culdaff Village Co. Donegal. The sucessful consultant will be required to provide Consultancy Services to deliver a Marine Development Project from Stage 1 to Stage 5 in accordance with Government Construction Contracts Committee (GCCC) New Public Works Contracts. The Consultants shall have regard to the overall programme for the Project and advise DCC on how the contract shall be let to achieve the target date for completion of July 2013. Services required may include the design of a pier extension, pile design, structural assessment of the existing pier and establish orientation/layout of a new pontoon berthing area. The sucessful Applicant will be required to carry out site investigation work, modelling, progress statutory procedures (Part 8, EIA, Foreshore Licience), detailed design, tender documentation, contract award, construction and handover. The number of Candidates which will be invited to tender is envisaged as a minimum of 5 (five) and a maximum of 8 (eight), provided sufficient are qualified. An invitation to tender will be issued to the qualified candidates from this competition to request fixed price lump sum fee bids under the Standard Conditions of Engagement for Consultancy Services (Technical) published by the Department of Finance.
