Type of contract and location of works, place of delivery or of performance: Services. The tasks are to be performed at the premises designated by the contractor and agreed by Eurofound. Meetings with Eurofound will be held at Eurofound's premises in Dublin/Brussels or at the premises of the contractor. A public contract. Short description of the contract or purchase(s): 5 years after the coming into effect of the European Company Statute this research project will assess the working of the normal European companies, in particular with regard to employee involvement in these SEs. Quantity or scope of the contract II.2.1) Total quantity or scope: The present study aims to build up a first inventory, analysis and case studies of the nature and functioning of employee involvement in SEs and capture experience in companies looking at both management and employees. In order to meet this specific objective, the contractor shall map, analyse and assess employee involvement in SEs via a literature review, an analysis of normal SEs and their provisions and mechanisms with regard to employee involvement and via 10 case studies. With regard to the communication objectives, the project is meant: 1. to promote awareness and understanding of SEs and employee involvement; 2. to contribute to the ongoing debate on Europeanisation of industrial relations in the context of the modernisation of employment relations and the role of the social partners in the enlarged EU.
