Title attributed to the contract by the contracting authority: Sale of Digital Terrestrial Television Equipment. The equipment being sold by the Department is, in broad terms, as follows: — UHF Band IV/V digital terrestrial television transmission systems and 2 UHF Channel Combining Units. — NEC Radio Frequency transmission equipment which is suitable for use at main stations in a DVB-T Multi. Frequency Network (MFN) transmission system. — Total of 8 transmitters including cooling solution, plus spares. — Channel combiners and U-Link panels operating in UHF Broadcasting Band to be used for Digital Terrestrial. Television Systems. — 2.3 kW four channel coaxial combiner system for channels 53, 57, 60 and 63. — 3.2 kW four channel coaxial combiner system for channels 54, 58, 61 and 64. — 6-PORT 4 1/2" ANTENNA SWITCHFRAME. — 12-PORT 4 1/2" ANTENNA SWITCHFRAME. — 1-5/8" EIA 3-PORT PATCH PANEL. The equipment is currently stored in two locations. Site visits will be made available to potential bidders at times. specified by the Department. The Department reserves the right, at its absolute discretion, to sell the equipment in one lot only or in separate. Lots and to require bids to be submitted on this basis. More specific information in relation to the equipment, the terms upon which it will be sold and the process by. Which it will be sold is available upon request by e-mailing Susan Fleming at the e-mail address notified above. No later than 6 March 2008.
