Iarnrod Eireann–Irish Rail
Title attributed to the contract by the contracting entity: DART Underground - Utilities Survey Investigation. The Dart Underground consists of, twin line, heavy rail, electrified tunnel through Dublin city centre linking the Belfast line to the Cork line together with any ancillary works which may be required in connection with the tunnel (The Project). It is currently anticipated that there will be 4 underground stations. Coras Iompair Éireann (CIE) is the commercial semi-state national transport undertaking in Ireland, one of whose subsidiaries is Iarnród Éireann- Irish Rail (IE). CIE is the Sponsoring Agency for the Project and IE has a role managing the Project on behalf of CIE and as operator of passenger rail services. IE is now seeking to appoint a Utilities Survey Company to the Project.
