Gweedore Sewerage Scheme - Design, Build and Operate Scheme. The works include the Design, Construction and Operation of a Wastewater Collection Network, Wastewater Treatment Works, Marine Outfall and Sludge Acceptance and Dewatering facilities. The wastewater treatment works shall be designed for a Stage 1 population equivalent of 7 200. The existing population equivalent from the catchment is approximately 5 000. The sludge acceptance facilities shall have the capacity for importing 110 tonnes of dry solids per annum. The works shall include for the provision of storm water facilities. The wastewater collection network shall involve the provision of sewer lines and intermediate pumping stations. The operation and maintenance period for the collection network, treatment works and sludge reception facilities shall be for 20 years. The works may involve the execution of additional and repetition of similar works and services.
