The works, in broad terms, involve the design and construction of a sports changing facility with all associated ground works, services and drainage on the grounds of St. Brendans Hospital, Grangegorman. Without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing, the works may include without limitation: — The facility is to provide 4no changing rooms (2 no of which must cater for teams up to 30no adults in size and 2no of which must cater for teams of up to 18no adults in size), — 2 no. other rooms are to be provided with accessible accommodation incl. changing, showers & toilet in compliance with Irish Technical Guidance Document Part M and BS 8300 or equivalent. These rooms will also be used for changing for officials. All changing rooms (including the 18 & 30 person rooms) are to have accessible entry in compliance with the same standards or equivalent, — Ancillary internal accommodation is to be provided for all required services to the facility which will be stand-alone in its servicing. An indicative space is shown on DMOD drawing ref. 10026/T10 but the design of the services and design and layout of service areas will be to the tenderers specification to meet the performance needs of the facility and any client requirements, — Sanitary accommodation is to be provided as follows: 18 person changing rooms: 1 no. w.c. 1 no. whb, 4 no. showers. w.c. 2 no. whb, 8 no. showers. — The works include all site drainage / services supplies & connections / substructures, — The works include all site set up, site preparation works and site remedial works on completion, — The works also include for the design and approvals required to proceed, — The works will involve the successful contractor taking an active role in liaising with the local community and project stakeholders eg providing updates / forums for discussion etc. The above description of the works is intended as a broad description and a more detailed description is provided within the tender documentation.
