Title attributed to the contract by the contracting authority: Carrickphierish Campus Development - Contractor and Specialists. Expressions of interest are invited from suitably qualified building contractors who wish to considered for the construction of 2 x 16 classroom primary schools, a public library, multi purpose hall, community facilities and associated external works at Carrickphierish Campus. The external works include car parking, car setdown area, four basketball courts and an ESB substation. The total area of the development is approximately 7 855 sqm on a 5 acre greenfield site in the Carrickphierish area of Waterford City. Expressions of Interest are also invited from suitably qualified Specialists (Mechanical Contractor & Electrical Contractor) to be shortlisted onto 2 individual panels, one for each of the respective disciplines above. These 2 panels will be listed within the Request for Tender documentation issued to the shortlisted Building Contractor Candidates. The Campus is being developed by Department of Education and Science in conjunction with Waterford City Council. The Campus is designed by the Employer's Design Team who have been appointed by the Department of Education and Science in January 2008.
