County Dublin Vocational Education Commitee (CoDubVEC) are seeking a design and build contractor complete with a full design team to design and build the schools project at Phibblestown, Dublin 15. The Phibblestown project involves the design and construction of a 1 000 pupil post primary school with enhanced sport / community facilities and a 24 classroom primary school all associated external works which includes the provision of an all weather football pitch and playing courts. The schools project is located on c8 acres of land, of which c2 acres will be occupied by temporary school accommodation for the duration of the construction. The 2 schools are required for occupation on 1.9.2010 with client fit out completed prior to this date. The buildings will be procured on a Design and Build basis with payments on a milestone basis. The form of contract will be the Public Works Contract for Building Works Designed by the Contractor, dated 15.8.2007, as published by the Department of Finance. All interested candidates are required to complete a Prequalification Questionnaire which is available on the etenders website at www.etenders.gov.ie.
