LD01140 - N5 Longford Bypass Design Build Contract. The Contract shall comprise the design, execution and completion of the N5 Longford Bypass road Project, including without limitation the provision of: โ€” 2.6 kilometres of standard single carriageway National Primary road, โ€” approximately 0.8 kilometres of tie-in to the existing N5 and N4, โ€” approximately 0.8 kilometres of farm accommodation roads, โ€” an at-grade roundabout at the junction of the proposed N5 and existing N4 in the townland of Aghadegnan, โ€” an at-grade roundabout at the junction of the proposed N5 and existing N5 in the townlands of Aghareagh/Ballyminion, โ€” a new bridge structure over the Dublin to Sligo railway line in the townland of Cartrons, โ€” a new bridge structure over the River Camlin in the townlands of Cartrons and Mullagh, โ€” the realignment of local road L-1001 in the townland of Cartrons including the provision of a new underbridge to carry the proposed N5 over the local road, โ€” the provision of a new access road including an agricultural underpass structure in the townland of Cartrons to provide access to severed lands, โ€” the improvement of the existing junction of local road L-1001 and the proposed N5 in the townland of Aghareagh, โ€” various drainage works including attenuation ponds, culverting and realignment of streams and the provision of drainage outfalls, โ€” the provision of a bridge structure clear spanning over the Ballyminion stream in the townland of Ballyminion, โ€” various landscape environmental and mitigation works, โ€” various accommodation works including accesses to properties and lands, โ€” various fencing and safety barrier systems, โ€” various earthworks works, โ€” various road marking, signing and lighting Works, โ€” various works including diversion of the assets of authorities, utilities and service providers; and โ€” various ancillary Works all as described elsewhere in the contract. Notwithstanding the above, the full scope of the design, execution and completion of the Works and the obligations of the Contractor under the Contract shall be ascertained by reference to the Contract as a whole.
