Title attributed to the contract by the contracting authority: Supply of ICT equipment – network and communications for all fás locations. FAS are inviting companies to submit an expression of interest for the supply of network communications equipment and hardware to meet its future technology needs, including the following: Standard branch office router with at least 64mb of flash memory, WAN serial, and/or ADSL interface with fast Ethernet/gigabit connections. The router software/operating system should be capable of MPLS routing and QOS traffic management. An integrated services router, i.e. capable of carrying both voice and data, with at least 256 mb ram. The router software/operating system should be capable of MPLS routing and QOS traffic management. The expression of interest should also include at least 2 categories of switches– one 24-48 port switch with gigabit Ethernet connections and/or fibre modules, as well as switches with Power over Ethernet capability. An increasing number of FÁS offices use VOIP, hence the proposal may also contain VOIP related equipment, i.e. telephones and analogue terminal adaptors. The tender may also outline any ancillary services relating to the installation and or support and warranty of the equipment detailed above. Delivery will be to nominated FAS sites.
