NUI Maynooth wishes to enter into a competitive dialogue with a number of candidate suppliers to procure the design, delivery, installation, commissioning and ongoing maintenance of an upgraded and expanded I.T. server room. The system envisaged will include a modular and flexible approach to I.T. cabs/racks, electrical power supply (including distribution, UPS and stand-by generator), efficient cooling of the I.T. equipment and possibly fire detection/supression. Appropriate levels of resilience, redundancy and security will be provided in line with industry best practice.
