South Dublin County Council invites expressions of interest for the supply, installation, testing, commissioning, training and 3-year maintenance of a CCTV system for the Grand Canal Green Pedestrian and Cycle Route, which extends over 8,5 km in South Dublin between Inchicore and the 12th Lock. The main requirements of the project include: a. Circa 52 fully functional and static CCTV cameras on existing tilt-down poles and surface mounted on existing structures; b. Fibre and power cabling to service all cameras over 8,5 kilometres (within an already constructed underground duct and chamber network); c. Fibre backbone of various core sizes to allow for future expansion; d. Audio alert system; e. Head end equipment, control software, recording equipment and viewing screens; f. 3 year maintenance; and g. System training. It is envisaged that the successful supplier will start on-site installation in late October 2009.
