Title attributed to the contract by the contracting authority: Procurement of New Civic Offices. Cavan County Council, on its own behalf and on behalf of Cavan Town Council is seeking a private developer who will provide a site, together with design and construction and possibly financing, with or without long term facilities management, of a landmark head office building for County Council and Cavan Town Council (Cavan Local Authorities), with associated civic amenities, and which may also incorporate further private amenities. It is envisaged that this development will be a focal point of the town. The development must, as a minimum, include 6,500 to 7,200m2 of office space, 200 car parking spaces and an additional area for the reception to the building, comprising indoor and/or outdoor aspects, which will also consist of a civic space for the people of Cavan. The Project may include a mixed use development, with additional retail and office space, and may also include accommodation for additional civic services (such as primary care services). Options for the method of procurement may include purchasing, leasing, concession partnership or joint venture.
