Development of Specialist Lighting (Military History Exhibition). The National Museum of Ireland is seeking contractors for the supply and installation of lighting equipment in both existing historic buildings and new buildings as part of the Military History Exhibition fitout. This exhibition is scheduled to open in 2007. The successful company/companies will be a nominated sub-contractor to a main contractor with responsibility for the construction, refurbishment and exhibition fit-out contract. The lighting scheme consists of specialist luminaires on walls and ceilings and within exhibition showcases and has been designed by Sutton Vane Associates. All lighting equipment is fully specified and positions are shown on drawings. The contract shall be deemed to include the supply, installation, testing and commissioning of the complete specialist lighting package. The contract will generally include the supply of the specified equipment, supply of all cable, containment, fixings isolation etc and the installation of all equipment. The contractor will also supply personnel to assist in the aiming and balancing of the lighting equipment after installation.
