Leopardstown Racecourse is one of four racecourses owned and managed by Horse Racing Ireland (HRI), the commercial semi-state body which took over the functions previously carried out by the Irish Horse Racing Authority. The only racecourse in Dublin, located 6 miles south of the city centre in Foxrock, it stages approximately 24 race meetings throughout the year. These include the four day Christmas National Hunt Festival, a series of evening meetings throughout the summer and the prestigious Irish Champion stakes meeting in September. Current annual attendances are approx. In September 2009, Leopardstown will also host the Irish St. Leger, while in 2010 the five Irish Classics will be staged at Leopardstown. It has an extensive range of bars, restaurants and private suites, and a ‘state of the art’ conference centre. Horse Racing Ireland is seeking to enter into a contract with a service provider for the catering and beverage requirements for the enclosure at Leopardstown for raceday and nonraceday events. The contract awarded will be for a period of 3 years with an option to extend to a fourth year subject to satisfactory performance and annual review. Award of contract may be subject to successful presentation and interview, which if required will take place in the last week of September.
