University College Dublin is issuing this questionnaire inviting expressions of interest as the first stage of a two-stage process under the restricted procedure. The purpose of the first stage is to obtain information from applicants to determine their suitability on the basis of financial, technical and relevant experience to carry out the project. Suitable candidates will be shortlisted and invited to tender for the award of the position or positions of contractor and specialists for the project described in this document. The main contract works will comprise the construction of a new block of student accommodation of approx. (133 en-suite bedrooms). Support facilities to each of the bedroom levels will include kitchen, study and living areas. At ground floor level a café and adjacent fitness / student area will also be constructed, some of which will incorporate remodelling of an adjacent existing facility. Fitting out with loose furniture and kitchen equipment may be included in the contract. The project will include site civil works, utility services and hard and soft landscaping works. The Contractor will be responsible for the successful achievement of substantial completion and handover/snagging on the project. Interested candidates should note that UCD has identified a number of specialist works in addition to the main works. Accordingly, the requirements of this project for the purposes of the procurement process have been divided into a number of Lots, both mandatory and non mandatory: Mandatory Lots. Lot 1 Main Works.
