Title attributed to the contract by the contracting authority: UCD Science Centre South. The main contract works defined as the refurbishment of Science South Centre comprises the existing South wing of the Science Centre with an approximate area of approximately 6,159sq.m., gross internal floor area of existing laboratories and new proposed gross floor area of approximately 6,877 sq.m, totalling 13,036sq.m. (including an enclosed and louvred plant area). University College Dublin proposes to refurbish and extend its existing Science South building on the Belfield campus and wishes to prepare a shortlist of suitably experienced and qualified candidates to undertake this work. It is intended that the Project will consist of the refurbishment of the existing four storey building and a four storey extension with rooftop plantroom. - facade, full mechanical and electrical fit-out, fumehood containment and extraction, selected cleanroom and bio-containment areas, aswell as site civil works, utility connections and landscaping etc. The project involves working in a live environment on a phased basis and will include replacement of an elevated pedestrian link to an adjoining building.
