Title attributed to the contract by the contracting authority: Clonmel Civic Amenity Site. Tenders are invited for the construction of a new Civic Amenity Site, control building, weighbridge and associated site works at Carrigeen Business Park, Clonmel , Co. Tipperary. Enquires should be addressed to Declan Cremen, Malachy Walsh and Partners, Park House, Mahon Technology Park, Bessboro Road, Blackrock, Cork. Tender documents are available in hardcopy on the payment of EUR 150 per set, or EUR 50 on disc, refundable on receipt of a bone fide tender not subsequently withdrawn and on return of the Tender Documents. Each tenderer must submit a valid Tax Clearance Certificate or a C2 Certificate from the Revenue Commissioners where appropriate. In the case of a non residential tenderer, a statement of suitability on tax grounds from the Revenue Commissioners of Ireland will be required. Each tenderer must have a minimum turnover of EUR 1 000 000 per year for the last three years and a current Banker's Statement confirming the tenderer's capacity to fund a project this size. Each tenderer will be required to provide confirmation that he is operating the CIF pension and sick pay scheme or an equivalent. Each tenderer must sign a Solemn Declaration in relation to Bankruptcy, Professional Misconduct, etc., a Declaration that information supplied is accurate, a Declaration in relation to Category 'A' accidents, and a Declaration of competence to act as a Project Supervisor Construction Stage. Each tenderer must provide evidence of having Employers and Public Liability Insurance Policies. The contract, if awarded will be awarded to the Tenderer who has submitted a tender which complies with the Instructions to Tenderers, which also meets the minimum requirements of Technical Suitability Questionnaire and the works Requirements as set out in the Tender Documents and whose tender is adjudged to be the Most Economically Advantageous Tender to the employer according to the criteria set out in the Instructions to Tenderers. The successful tenderer will be required to submit a current Safety Statement, a Site Specific Safety Plan for the project and a statement ensuring full compliance with relevant, current safety legislation. The contractor must provide a competent person to undertake the duties of Project Supervisor for Construction stage in accordance with the Safety Health and Welfare at work Construction Regulations 2006 and amendments thereto. The contract requires the provision of a performance bond. A Contracts All Risks insurance policy in the joint names of the Council and the tenderer will be required. The tenderer must also produce acceptable Employers and Public Liability Polices providing indemnity for the Council in respect of any claims arising from the works. Sealed tenders on the prescribed form must be returned to the Tender Reception Desk, South Tipperary County Council, County Hall, Emmet Street, Clonmel, Co.Tipperary, not later than 4.00 pm on the 19.3.2010 and should be clearly marked Tender for Clonmel Civic Amenity Site. The South Tipperary County Council is subject to the provisions of the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act 1997, as amended.
