Pathogen inactivation. The IBTS wishes to tender for a system of pathogen inactivation for platelet concentrate for infusion, in additive solution. If a contract is awarded the IBTS intends to use the system on production sites for a total of 24 000 apheresis and 1 800 pooled platelet units based on 2011 projections.
