Title attributed to the contract by the contracting authority: Blood Collection and Analysis for Irish Longitudinal Study on Ageing. The University of Dublin, Trinity College, invites tenders for the provision of for bloods collection and analysis in relation to the first wave of The Irish Longitudinal Study on Ageing. The bloodwork will be carried out in 2 ways: either in one of two TILDA health assessment centres, (one in Dublin city centre and one in Cork city centre), or in a respondent’s homes across Ireland. Samples in both instances (i.e. from centres and from respondent homes) must be collected for immediate analysis, short-term storage and long-term storage. Blood collection for the main study is planned from September 2009 for 9-12 months. The purpose of this tender is to arrange for the collection, transport, analysis, long-term storage, and redistribution of bloods from the centres and respondent homes according to the TILDA project design.
