Title attributed to the contract by the contracting entity: Teller Assist Units - TAUs. An Post wishes to appoint a supplier to provide secure cash handling machinery for tellers also known as Teller Assist Units TAUs which will enable the payment and acceptance of exact cash and coins to customers. They will be deployed in five proof of concept An Post outlets, which will be new, open and retail style post offices without bandit screens. The machinery will work in a high volume transaction with absolute accuracy and high efficiency and also in an environment where speed is imperative. The contract will be for provision of hardware, associated software interface to be developed in conjunction with An Post at level of Application Programme Interface, and ongoing maintenance services. Cash dispensing and full cash recycling options will be considered.
