Framework agreement for the supply, installation and maintenance of shelving. National Museum of Ireland (NMI) has secured a lease of a Collections Resource Centre in North County Dublin. These premises will house the collections of NMI not currently being exhibited. The large open plan floor is divided up into smaller compartments using a steel mesh type partition system. NMI wishes to establish a single-party framework agreement to supply, install and maintain shelving at NMI sites. It is also possible there will be a requirement for existing shelving to be dismantled and reassembled. The duration of the framework agreement will be for 4 years. For the avoidance of doubt, the period for delivery of any subsequent contracts entered into under the framework may extend beyond the date of expiry of the framework. The framework agreement will be established on the basis of a competition for an initial contract, namely supply, installation and maintenance of circa 2 500 linear meters of Long Span and circa 1 000 metres of Open Type shelving at the new Collections Resource Centre in North County Dublin. Installation under this initial contract is required by the end of November 2010. It is envisaged that up to a total of 5 000 linear meters of shelving will be fitted at the new Collections Resource Centre in North County Dublin during the lifetime of the framework.
