East Wall Road site master plan. Coras Iompair Eireann (CIE) seeks to appoint an integrated team offering the entire range of architectural, engineering, urban planning, environmental related services and all other associated services relating to the redevelopment of a major city centre site in Dublin. The site will incorporate significant retail, commercial and residential development on a site close to Irelandโs busiest DART/Intercity station - Connolly Station. The site of approx. 5.7 Ha (14 acres) is located at the junction of East Wall Road and Sheriff Street Upper in Dublin city centre. It is currently in operational railway use, but a plan to rationalise that use is in preparation. In addition, part of the site shall incorporate a bus passenger facility for Bus Eireann services ancillary to the nearby Busaras bus station on Amiens Street. The professional team will be required to consult with both Iarnrod Eireann and Bus Eireann management to incorporate their respective transport plans into the proposed planning application. The team will also consult fully with the requisite local authorities, and particularly the Planning officials prior to preparing the initial planning drawings. The objective will be to obtain the optimum planning permission for development of this site in the context of the current City Plan and the Land Use Zoning Objective Z14, as part of the โDocklandsโ Strategic Development and Regeneration Area (SDRA 6 of the Draft Dublin City Development Plan 2011 -2016). It is anticipated that the planning application will be finalised within 6 months of contract award.
