This procurement supports social objectives through the development of a community sports and recreation facility. The project will provide a new handball alley, indoor games space and communal area that will be accessible to members of the local community and will support participation in sport, recreation, health and wellbeing activities. The facility will also be available for community wellbeing initiatives in collaboration with the Lavey Community Health and Wellbeing Team. Contractors will be encouraged to minimise waste and environmental impacts during the construction phase and to make efficient use of materials and resources where practicable.
