MEDITE Europe DAC is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced building and civil work contractor to perform a range of maintenance and repair tasks at our facility located in Redmondstown, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary. It would be advantageous for the successful candidate to be able to assign a small team of contractors to facilitate urgent situations on an hourly rate basis. This may involve after hours and weekend work services depending on the level of urgency. The works will be commissioned on an as-needed basis and priced individually or hourly depending on the scope of works. The appointed contractor will be expected to provide competitive quotations / Hourly rates for each task. The scope of services may include, but is not limited to: • Minor road and footpath repairs • Logyard maintenance, including upkeep of Logyard roads • General building maintenance / repairs • Minor concrete repair works • Environmental cleaning tasks, including the cleaning and repair of drainage systems The contractor must be capable of delivering high-quality work while adhering to site safety, environmental, and operational standards. The works will take place on a live MDF manufacturing facility as outlined in the tender specification. For the duration of this contract, the factory will remain in production. Live manufacturing areas - the operational plant and processes present a particular set of safety hazards including ATEX issues, chemical safety, fire safety and risk of explosion. For these reasons – Contractor access to manufacturing areas will be by permit only and any unauthorised access to Medite manufacturing areas will result in disciplinary measures up to and including removal from site. Any process involving interaction between plant and project operations, including hot work and work to services, must be planned in detail with the input of Medite. Please note that the factory operates 24/7 and access and egress via the works area will be required. Phasing of the works may be required. This is to ensure that there is no impact on the day-to-day operations within the plant. Under no circumstances should the construction works cause unnecessary interference to the Medite plant and its operations. All works must be planned and scheduled in line with Medite requirements and with the approval of Medite site management in advance. Medite is an operating mill with production activity on‐going within the area and therefore full compliance with Medite’s EHS Contractor Requirements is necessary Contract Period - The contract period for this tender will be for 3 years with an option to extend for a further 1 year pending a performance and business review annually.
