Horse Racing Ireland (HRI) was established by the Irish Government under the Horse and Greyhound Racing Act 2001 and the Irish Horseracing Industry Act 1994. It is a commercial semi-state body that is responsible for the administration, promotion and development of Horse Racing in Ireland. HRI subsidiaries include Irish Thoroughbred Marketing Ltd (ITM), Tote Ireland Ltd and HRI Racecourse Division consisting of Leopardstown Club Ltd, Fairyhouse Club Ltd., Navan Races Ltd and The Tipperary Race Co Plc, as well as a holding interest in Cork Racecourse. HRI Headquarters are located in Ballymany, Newbridge, Co Kildare. Cork Racecourse Mallow and Curragh Racecourse Limited while not subsidiaries of Horse Racing Ireland, are closely affiliated with HRI and may avail of this framework. The Contracting Authority reserves the right to use this framework for any other business venture or industry body in which it is involved. The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board (IHRB) is a company limited by guarantee set up by the Turf Club (established 1790) and Irish National Hunt Steeplechase CLG (the INHSC) (established 1866) as the Regulatory Body for horseracing in Ireland. As the Regulatory Body for Irish racing the IHRB is responsible for protecting the integrity and reputation of Irish racing both in Ireland and internationally and has certain statutory functions as set out in section 39 of the Irish Horseracing Industry Act 1994, as amended. The IHRB provides volunteer Raceday Stewards and professional officials for all race meetings in Ireland to ensure that the rules are properly observed, and that the integrity of the sport is maintained and in collaboration with the INHSC is responsible for the operation and administration of point-to-point racing in Ireland. The Contracting Authority requires the provision of Insurance Brokerage Services to the following entities: ๏ง Horse Racing Ireland ๏ง Irish Thoroughbred Marketing Limited ๏ง Tote Ireland Limited ๏ง HRI Racecourse Division: o The Leopardstown Club Ltd o Fairyhouse Club Ltd. o Navan Races Ltd o The Tipperary Race Company Plc ๏ง Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board CLG (IHRB) While not part of the initial contract, the Contracting Authority reserves the right to utilise the framework for the following entities: ๏ง Cork Racecourse Mallow Limited ๏ง Curragh Racecourse Limited ๏ง Turf Club (unincorporated entity) ๏ง Irish National Steeplechase CLG The contracting Authority now invites responses from suitably qualified and experienced insurance brokers to work on behalf of the Contracting Authority for the provision of insurance broking and related services.
