The initial contract will cover the supply and installation of a Light-Based 3D Navigation and Visualisation System. This system will provide advanced real-time 3D imaging and navigation for research and clinical applications. Subsequent contracts under the framework may include commissioning, maintenance, technology upgrades, related hardware, consumables, add-on equipment, software, training, and calibration services. Description
In the case of framework agreements, provide justification for any duration exceeding 4 years:
The framework agreement will be for a maximum period of Ten Years (10) years. The initial framework will be for two years, with the option to extend by 24 months, with four such extensions permitted subject to annual review. A maximum of ten (10) years in total.
The extended duration of the framework is justified on the grounds of the considerable disruption that a change within a shorter period would entail, due to the specialist technical knowledge required and the significant capital investment involved. As this system is used for research purposes, maintaining continuity is critical to ensure data integrity, consistent methodology, and reliable outcomes.
