MEDITE Europe DAC is looking for suitably qualified suppliers to supply approx. 1,500 tonnes per year of Sodium Bisulphite solution to our site in Clonmel – approximately 1 load per week (20,000 Litres / 27 tonne per load). The specification we are looking for is between 35- 40 percent Concentration Sodium Bisulphite Solution. Note, all selected or shortlisted products will need to be vigorously trial and tested in the production process before a contract is awarded. The contract term will be for a minimum of 3 years, however Medite reserves the right to extend the contract by a further 2 years pending a performance and price review each and every year. Due to the current market volitivity we will be requesting that the pricing in the tender submission will be valid for 60 days, however a robust pricing mechanism must be accompanied to address pricing commodity movements on a monthly basis. The supplier shall be responsible for the delivery responsibilities under DAP. The supplier shall ensure that a surplus load will be able to be called upon at short notice, therefore quayside arrangements should be strongly considered by the supplier on maintaining safety stocks and reducing supply shortages situations that may arise from time to time. MEDITE EUROPE DAC reserves the right to refuse any and all deliveries made with equipment that is poorly maintained or does not meet the specification requirements. The Supplier’s tanks or trailers shall be clean and free of residue that may contaminate the Supplier’s product or impede the unloading process. It is the Supplier’s responsibility to verify the cleanliness of the transporting equipment before loading. All appurtenant valves, pumps, and discharge hoses used for the delivery of Sodium Bisulphite shall be supplied by the Supplier and shall be clean and free from contaminating material. The Supplier shall supply the equipment to unload the chemical from their truck (i.e., pumps, flexible hoses, etc.). However, the Supplier will connect to MEDITE EUROPE DAC's permanent fill piping that fills the bulk tanks. MEDITE EUROPE DAC may reject a load if the equipment is not properly cleaned. The Supplier shall furnish MEDITE EUROPE DAC an approved, leak-free connection device between the trailer and MEDITE’s intake receptacle. The Supplier shall observe the entire filling operation at each delivery and shall immediately report any spills caused during the filling operations. The Supplier shall take immediate and appropriate actions to clean up any spilled chemical. If the spill is not cleaned up, MEDITE EUROPE DAC will hire a certified hazardous material handling company to clean the spill, and the cost of such service will be charged to the Supplier and deducted from the amount due to the Supplier. If the spillage is not the fault of the Supplier or their subcontractor, the Supplier shall be relieved of cleanup of the spill.
