MEDITE Europe DAC is looking for suitable qualified companies to fabricate and install access platforms at their site in Redmondstown, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary. It is envisaged that the works will take place during the Q3 of 2025 The works will take place on a live MDF manufacturing facility as outlined in the tender specification. For the duration of this contract, the factory will remain in production. Live manufacturing areas - the operational plant and processes present a particular set of safety hazards including ATEX issues, chemical safety, fire safety and risk of explosion. For these reasons – Contractor access to manufacturing areas will be by permit only and any unauthorised access to Medite manufacturing areas will result in disciplinary measures up to and including removal from site. Any process involving interaction between plant and project operations, including hot work and work to services, must be planned in detail with the input of Medite. Please note that the factory operates 24/7 and access and egress via the works area will be required. Phasing of the works would be required. This is to ensure that there is no impact on the day-to-day operations within the plant. Under no circumstances should the construction works cause unnecessary interference to the Medite plant and its operations. All works must be planned and scheduled in line with Medite requirements and with the approval of Medite site management in advance. Medite is an operating mill with production activity on‐going within the area and therefore full compliance with Medite’s EHS Contractor Requirements is necessary. Fabrication + Installation of Access Platforms The contractor will be responsible for following: • PSCS • Site survey and confirmation of all dimensions prior to final fabrication. • Fabrication of platforms as described in drawings listed. • Painting and coating as per specifications mentioned in the drawings. • Removal of existing access platforms to facilitate installation of new access platform. • Temporary lighting. (if required) • Fire watch (Hot Work) under permit only. • Deliver and unload at site. • Installation of newly fabricated platforms and ladders including all required support and fixings. Including all lifting equipment and temporary access required to install all access and platforms. • Fabricate and modify any changes required to existing platforms. • Clean down of installation area upon completion and at the end of each working day. • Handover of documentation for Safety File. • Preliminaries of insurance. • All relevant paperwork. Contractors must: • Co-operate with the PSCS. • Provide any site-specific information or relevant extract of your safety statement to the PSCS. • Promptly provide the PSCS with information required for the safety file. • Comply with directions from Project Supervisors. • Report accidents to the Authority and to the PSCS where an employee cannot perform their normal work for more than three days. • Comply with site rules and the safety and health plan and ensure that your employees comply. • Identify hazards, eliminate the hazards, or reduce risks during construction. • Facilitate the Site Safety Representative. • Ensure that relevant workers have a safety awareness card and a construction skills card where required. • Provide workers with site specific induction. • Appoint a safety officer where there are more than 20 on site or 30 employed. • Consult workers and Safety Representatives. • Monitor compliance and take corrective action. **Please see the Tender Document attached for the full scope of works***
