The LPHW plant and its associated instrumentation in two buildings, the State Laboratories (SL) Building and the Department of Agriculture, Food and Marine Laboratories (DAFM) Building, on the Backweston Campus are reaching end of life and require replacement. The project aim is to complete the phased replacement of the existing LPHW plant and associated controls in these two buildings with minimal impact on wider building operations. The Key Project Requirements identified by the client are as follows: - Re-establish the boiler plant at MTHW with a system design flow temperature of 100 (Deg. Celsius) and a return temperature of 70 (Deg. Celsius). - Key mechanical, electrical and BMS tie inโs (e.g. valve installations) shall be planned and installed during a focused limited duration shutdown early in the programme to allow the remainder of the works proceed with the heating system live. Enabling works to be planned and coordinated with Client's team and programmed to minimise system downtime. - The successful candidate shall employ off-site pre-fabrication and repeatable modular skids to standardise equipment configurations and minimise on-site assembly.
