The Office of the Director of Authorised Intervention, Tuam (ODAIT) is seeking Media Strategy, Planning and Buying Services to support its work on the Tuam Identification Programme. ODAIT is an independent office established under the Institutional Burials Act 2022. ODAITโs objectives are to recover and forensically analyse, and to memorialise and bury with respect and dignity, human remains recovered from the site of the former Mother and Baby Institution in Tuam, Co. Galway. Acknowledging the significant scientific challenges, ODAIT will, to the extent possible, identify and individualise (re-association of commingled remains into separate individuals) those human remains this work will form part of the Tuam Identification Programme. Under the Tuam Identification Programme, ODAIT will collect DNA samples from eligible family members and these DNA samples will be used in efforts to identify human remains (โto establish a familial linkโ) that ODAIT has recovered from the Tuam site. The Tuam Identification Programme will begin with the launch of a Public Information Campaign. This will raise awareness that an Identification Programme is taking place and (in accordance with the Institutional Burials Act 2022 (Section 80) Regulations 2024).
