Manufacturing, Commissioning and Delivery to Dundalk Institute of Technology of a customised Mobile Digital Lab as part of the PEACEPLUS Mini Digi Hubs project
The Mini Digi Hubs project is supported by PEACEPLUS, a programme managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB). The Mobile Digital Lab, as part of the Mini Digi Hubs Project, is designed to offer a unique blend of flexibility and efficiency as a mobile classroom and mobile workshop to be driven via a truck and trailer configuration to a variety of locations such as schools, enterprise centres, tradeshows and events, across the region in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. The mobile classroom unit is expected to be a self-contained, modular unit designed to be towed by an independent vehicle. The Mobile Digital Lab is intended for temporary and remote educational training and workshop-oriented setups, with all necessary facilities to accommodate a small class of students (8-10 persons in a workshop scenario) and staff (1 -2 tutors). Alternatively in a โtheatre styleโ setting the Mobile Digital Lab should be fit to accommodate a minimum 15 people for short seminar type engagement. Set-up and breakdown times at each venue should be minimal at less than 30mins for a one-to-two-person operation. The trailer should be weather-resistant, insulated, and meet road safety regulations for mobile units for both Ireland and the UK.
