Recent years has seen much change and disruption within the food-service market. Labour issues, cost challenges, the impact of delivery aggregators, growing regulations, as well as significant innovation in particular with new technologies and the power of AI have all helped evolve the landscape significantly. Consequently, Bord Bia believe that it is an opportune time to conduct a review of the marketplace to ascertain the future landscape of the commercial kitchen specifically within the QSR and Fast-Casual food-service channels. The outputs should provide clear commercial direction and support to the food industry, through strategically impactful insight, enabling the sector to win through innovation in the QSR (Quick Service Restaurant) channel, whilst also empowering stronger customer connections within the channel.
