Investment area 1.1 Co-designed Local Community Peace Action Plans (โ‚ฌ110 million budget). Under Theme 1:Building Peaceful and Thriving Communities. The eligible area for the Programme for 2021-2027 is Northern Ireland and the Border Counties of Ireland (Donegal, Cavan, Leitrim, Louth, Monaghan and Sligo). Each participating local authority (17) has produced a co-designed PEACEPLUS Action Plan aimed to complement the community planning & development structures, Local Economic and Community Plans (LECPs), and existing good relations approaches led by local authorities and others on a regional basis. The Programme objectives is to enable and empower local community partnerships, to self-determine and deliver priority projects on a cross-community basis; which will result in improved, shared, and inclusive local services, facilities, and spaces; and make a significant and lasting contribution to peace and reconciliation.
