UCD Lyons Farm, which is part of the original Lyons Estate, was purchased by UCD in 1963. The house itself was formerly the seat of Lord Cloncurry and is a period house of national importance. The farm consists of approximately 245 hectares and operates under the auspices of the UCD College of Health and Agricultural Sciences and is an important resource for the Schools of Agriculture and Food Science and Veterinary Medicine. The farm operates mixed enterprises, supporting teaching and research in the areas of beef, crops, dairy, equine, sheep and pigs. They require a new Telehandler.
