The Department of Rural and Community Development (DRCD) was established in July 2017 to provide a renewed and consolidated focus on rural and community development in Ireland. Trading for impact the recently published National Social Enterprise Policy commits the DRCD to commission a partner organisation to deliver some of the actions contained in the policy, and to engage with social enterprise stakeholders to achieve shared ownership and operational delivery of the policy. Delivery of National Social Enterprise Conferences in 2024 and 2025 (Trading for Impact, Policy Action 2) 2. Delivery of National Social Enterprise Awards Event 2025 (Trading for Impact, Policy Action 3) 3 Delivery of five social Enterprise Networking Events over 2024 and 2025 (Trading for Impact, Policy Action 22) 4. Delivery of a transition Year Pilot Programme (Trading for Impact, Policy Action 7) DRCD as the client must be consulted where appropriate through regular meetings, for each element of the programme. For the avoidance of doubt all final decisions regarding the agendas for conferences and awards event will need to be approved by DRCD.
