In response to the continuously evolving landscape of online and hybrid meetings, SETU is seeking to appoint a contractor for the supply and installation of Hybrid Classroom facilities. The University is currently undertaking a program of refurbishment of a number of its classrooms to be equipped with PTZ Camera(s), Beamforming Microphone, (optional) speakers and integrated systems, to provide hybrid meeting facilities within a Microsoft Teams or Zoom environment. As a result, a significant portion of its AV equipment is being upgraded. The primary goal of this Request for Tender (RFT) is to equip a number of classrooms with advanced technology that simplifies the hybrid teaching process, ensuring that instructors can focus on teaching without technical distractions. The technology will be intuitive and fully integrated into the classroom environment, allowing for seamless transitions between in-person and online teaching modes. A portion of the drawdowns will be for entirely new installations, while others will be for expansion of existing infrastructure and technology to accommodate greater numbers. There will also be a requirement for supply only of the equipment. The installations may be carried out in any of our university campuses in Carlow, Waterford, Wexford and Wicklow. The initial contract will be for the provision of Hybrid Classroom facilities up to 31/12/2027, with an option to extend for one additional year. The anticipated level of drawdown from this tender will be in the order of 6-12 classrooms over the term of the contract. The contract should allow for regular reviews to ensure that the proposed solution remains aligned with SETU's evolving needs and technological advances.
