The framework agreement will be for a period of five [5] years initially, with the option to extend by a further 12-36 months, with a maximum of three (3) such extensions permitted (5+3+2), subject to satisfactory annual review of performance. The framework agreement will be for a maximum period of Ten [10] years.
The extended duration of the framework is justified on the grounds of the considerable disruption that a change, within a shorter period would entail, due to the specialist technical knowledge required.
