Main Works Contractor procurement for the construction of various schools in within the Leinster region for the Department of Education by Employer Led Design (ELD).
The Minister for Education (the Contracting Authority) intends to procure Main Works Contractors for the delivery of exchequer funded primary and post-primary school building projects including all site works, ancillary works and associated site development works, in the following areas: Colaiste Rioga Dunshaughlin, Dunshaughlin CNS, Gaelscoil Ruairí Maynooth, Stepaside ETSS (Phase 2) and Scoil Chronain Rathcoole. The contracting authority intends to procure these works in in three lots by way of a two-stage restricted procedure. The contracts utilised for the main works contractor will be the PW-CF1 works contract. The nature of the works, which vary from site to site, consist of (without limitation) the construction of new two/three storey buildings, alterations to existing buildings, Special Education Needs (SEN) accommodation, teaching space and all associated ancillary functions both internally and externally. It is envisaged that other Government Agencies, such as Education and Training Boards or Boards of Management, or any other agency engaged by the Department of Education charged to deliver school buildings. Further project particulars will be provided within the tender documentation at Stage 2 of this competition. Reserved Specialists to be procured separately and novated to the main works contractor include Mechanical Services and Electrical Services specialists.
