The Department of Foreign Affairs are seeking to engage an Insurance Broker to provide Goods in Transit Insurance for staff going on postings overseas. The Services comprise of the provision of insurance cover for the transportation of household effects plus a vehicle to staff of the Department of Foreign Affairs when moving to, from and between postings overseas. The insurer should also provide insurance cover for officer’s household goods held in various storage facilities in Ireland for the period of the officer’s posting and for a period of up to six months on their return to Ireland. The Services will also include transit insurance cover for occasional shipments of State owned furniture to/from the Department’s Missions overseas as part of the overall insurance.
