Energy Communities Tipperary Co-operative Limited, trading as EcoVision, is a community-driven cooperative representing the collaboration of 15 rural communities across Munster. Leveraging the power of rural volunteerism, EcoVision is dedicated to fostering energy-sustainable communities. As part of its mission to enhance the energy performance of the Munster region, EcoVision is seeking to engage qualified contractors to deliver comprehensive retrofit services for residential properties, private businesses, and community buildings. The initiative aims to significantly improve energy efficiency in line with current building regulations and SEAI standards. The approach includes detailed Home Energy Assessments and in-depth consultations with homeowners to identify and implement the most energy-efficient and cost-effective measures. This includes ensuring retrofitted buildings achieve a minimum BER rating of B2, with upgrades such as the installation of heat pumps and other advanced energy technologies. The primary objectives of the project are to reduce energy consumption in homes and communities, create local employment opportunities, improve comfort levels for users, and contribute meaningfully to Ireland’s broader climate and energy goals. By prioritizing sustainable upgrades and local collaboration, EcoVision aims to lead Munster in its transition to a more energy-efficient future.
