The Department of Clinical Genetics (DCG) located at Childrenโs Health Ireland at Crumlin is seeking invites to tender to provide the equipment, reagents and software for a diagnostic array service. The DCG laboratories currently provides an array service for approximately 3000 germline samples/referrals per annum and 300 somatic arrays. The testing sample numbers may increase in the future. The current platform is an 8x60k design that does not include SNPs. We are looking for an array system capable of CNV detection and SNP genotyping. The new system should incorporate the findings of large scale genomic studies and knowledge gained from genomic data shared on curated public databases. The new system is required to provide a significant and measurable improvement in diagnostic yield to ensure our service users and patients are getting the most up to date diagnosis.
