Contract for Project Management Led Integrated Multidisciplinary Design Team Consultancy Services for a feasibility Study for the drainage Development of the IDA Landbank Cork
The current Industrial Development Agency (IDA) land holding in Ringaskiddy, Co. Cork comprises c.164ha divided across multiple sites with the greater part of the lands located to the south of the proposed motorway route reservation. In addition, several assets in the area are in IDA ownership including the foul and surface water network which serves both the existing developments and the undeveloped land holdings. IDA Ireland wishes to appoint a consulting engineer to prepare an engineering led feasibility study re the future development of the IDA Landbank at Barnaheley/ Raheens East / Loughbeg, Co. Cork. The successful tenderer will carry out a capacity review of the existing surface and foul water network(s)/ pumping stations in the study area, the production of a hydraulic model for the Ringaskiddy Local Catchment and a suite of recommendations for the upgrade works were necessary to facilitate further development of the land bank (s). The review also must ensure that the inclusion of the storm and foul water pumping station must form part of the proposed upgrade(s) to the existing IDA Drainage Water Networks. The review must also include for the procurement and management for requisite range and scale of on site investigation contracts including but not limited to. Ground Penetrating Radar Survey, CCTV Survey, Flow Monitoring, Topographical Survey. In addition the review must consider the option appraisal for the attainment of a new Foreshore Licence by IDA Ireland and allow for consultation with Maritime Area Regulatory Authority, ultimately providing programmatic, financial and sustainability modelling for the optimised solution. The Feasibility Stage will be broken into five workstreams as follows Workstream 1. Collation of data Workstream 2. Surveys, modelling output Workstream 3. Design Review, Capacity Assessment and Options Report. Workstream 4. Design verification, targeted surveys and provision of full-time resident engineer. Workstream 5. Recommendation report and scope of service requirements for next phase. The successful firm will ensure provision of the required services and appoint all the appropriate consultants under their control as required. Note all appointments will be made under the Government โStandard Conditions of Engagement for Consultancy Services (Technical)โ will be employed.
